Member since: 2003. I’ve been a potter my whole life. I grew up at the Parkland Potters and clay has always been apart of my life. My mother Jackie Billows has been a member since the early 80’s and she and the Guild have had a huge creative influence.
Studied with: Graduated from Red Deer College, Art and Design program in 1998 – studied Ceramics under Chuck Weissinger and Sculpture under Graham Page. I have taken workshops from Noboru Kubo, Jim Etzkorn, but learning from Tammy Parks-Legge, Jan Haines, Carol Hartwell, Jeannette Wright, Lynette Lukay, Bob Ford and so many more talented, creative people at the Guild has been invaluable.
Pottery Style: Non-functional mixed media pieces plus hand building and wheel throwing.
“Playing with mud is good for the soul. Creating with this medium from the earth brings me a sense of calm and a feeling of creative endlessness.”
